Cosmetology

Esthetics
Our Esthetics program prepares you for a future as a skin care specialist. Every graduate will be trained in facials, waxing, makeup application, business development, wellness and retail knowledge.
Manicuring/Nail Tech
The primary purpose of Manicuring/Nail Tech is to train students in both theory and practical experiences that will prepare them for immediate employment opportunities. You will learn to regular, spa and French manicures and pedicures. Classes include theory and practical techniques for applying acrylic, gel nails and instruction for using an electric file. Our courses are particularly directed toward developing student’s desirable habits and attitudes with respect to health, sanitation, safety and guest satisfaction. Salon business classes are presented to gain knowledge of precision techniques and technical skills to perform a mastering level of competency here at The Cosmetology Institute.
Alternative Hair Design
Natural hair care has been a huge part in this industry for centuries. Braids, weaving techniques, and extensions. Weather your on entry level, intermediate, or expert this billion dollar industry is always evolving. Instructor Training
The Curriculum for cosmetology, esthetics and manicuring instructors shall include but not be limited to teaching methods, effectiveness of instruction, instructor qualities, learning environment, Louisiana Cosmetology Act, rules and regulations.
Shampoo Tech
The curriculum for shampoo technicians shall include, but not be limited to sanitations/disinfection procedures, scientific methods of hair and scalp care, along with proper draping, shampooing techniques, chemical application and rising as well as hair and scalp treatments, with Louisiana Cosmetology Act, rules and regulations.
Blow-Dry Tech
The curriculum for shampoo technicians shall include, but not be limited to sanitation/disinfection procedures, scientific methods of hair and scalp care, along with proper draping, shampooing techniques, chemical application and rinsing as well as hair and scalp treatments, with, Louisiana Cosmetology Act, rules and regulations.
